the Magic City

You can't savor a plate of soul food in one bite. You can't appreciate a cup of fresh-brewed coffee with one sip. You can't eat just one chip. And you can't experience all the amazing restaurants Birmingham has to offer in just one day. One taste is never enough.

That's why M-POWER Ministries is proud to present our second annual The Taste of the Magic City event. For five consecutive Thursdays beginning September 27, we will feature five different restaurants around town. From local coffee houses to white tablecloth fine dining and everything in between, each restaurant has agreed to donate a portion of these days' proceeds to support the ministries at M-POWER.

M-POWER operates the only free health clinic in Jefferson County, plus facilitates adult literacy, GED, and Career-Readiness classes. Add to that our bountiful community garden, and it's easy to see why so many organizations are willing to get involved with Taste this year.
